Need info on dive shops and locations for AOW course

Hi,

I'm going to be in CA at the end of this month, looking at getting an AOW course done at this time (22-25 January). Does anyone have suggestions regarding which dive shops/locations to take a look at or avoid? I've mostly been looking at the LA area/Catalina and Monterey.
