you may want to look into 'reef seekers' located
in beverly hills. the co-owners are ken kurtis
and billy (???--forgot his last name).
i bring my regs in to be serviced there and i trust
the knowledge of the employees. they carry a wide
selection of mfg products, so they are not likely
to try to force upon you one or two lines. as
far as their instructors go, i really don't have
experience, but most of them are the same ones who
run the shop, and based on my personal interactions
i like them pretty much.

there is also another shop located in santa monica
