Clinton correctly asnswered your question with respect to the harness. The harness is adjusted to fit each individuals body. This is very different from the jacket style bc that is most common these days. The harness style bc provides a more streamlinned fit.
As far as you being the only woman on the boat, as of right now it's about 70% men 30% women so you should not feel uncomfortable. This is a learning experience not a dating game :-)
