Comprende, amigos.
I believe most of the commercial caves and springs in Florida now require buddy teams with substantial experience before they're allowed to dive. Not like the first time I dove Blue Springs in Orange City in 1964...solo! Then it was just another isolated, overgrown, deserted million gallon a minute feeder into the St. Johns River. I only dove to the point where the glow of the surface was about to disappear. Found lots of fossilized sharks teeth and bivalves. I wrote an article about it for Skin Diver, published later that year when Jim Auxier was the publisher. Today it's one of the most commercialized dive springs in the state.
