Ouch, my nose still hurts!

---

Personally, I feel I have the best perspective on Geographic assignments in California, because I live in no-mans land in Central California. That's right, Fresno, the armpit of the state. Well, the upper shoulder really, Bakersfield is the true armpit, just follow your nose!

It's interesting, but NorCal people call Fresno SoCal, and SoCal people call it NorCal. Since most people around these parts are hicks who can't read anyway, they largely miss the irony and politics these assignments generate.

I personally break California into two regions. Those I want to be in and those I don't. The entire coast, Sierra Nevada, Cascades, and High Desert fall into the first. Everywhere else (and all cities) fall into the latter!

VIVA CENTRAL CALIFORNIA!!!!!
