Dear AA DIVER:

Okay, I'll play. You ask:

" Are you unable to answer my original query:
give me a specific example of an unsafe attitude."

Sure.

The following is an example of an unsafe attitude.

Do you remember how you spent all that bandwith
advocating, actually preaching, about solo diving,
or as you call it "independent diving". ( And if
you are not diving with a dedicated buddy then you
are solo diving regardless of what you call it.)

You ranted and raved about all your training and
all the courses you have completed and and how
you usually dive "independant".

In any single one of these courses or any part of
your training did any instructor teach you to dive
solo ?? Or are you promoting a type of diving to the
masses, including some very new and impressionable
divers, that you were not trained or taught in your
courses or classes.

Did John Walker teach you to dive solo, I bet he
didn't !!

So now that you have promoted solo diving on this
board, and maybe a small amount of new divers without
"the years of world-wide experience" you have, may
go out and try it, and maybe, just maybe one of them
gets hurt or worse.

Did you ever warn any new divers about the dangers
of diving solo, or did you just promote "your way".

There you have your "unsafe attitude".

YOU ! Thats your answer.

And as for my e-mail address I am spending
the vacation at a friends, and using her computer,
and if you need to respond to me you can do so
right here on the BBS for all to see. Don'y muck
up here computer with your private pleas.

And as for who I am, once again, you show
your inexperience and ignorance. Those divers
on this board that are experienced and have been
diving for decades have an idea of who I am.

Want a clue ??

I have never worn a pizza stained " I dove the
Andrea Doria t-shirt " should be a big enough
clue to those divers I consider are in the top
of their class. Perhaps one day you will too
AA diver, but not this day.

"tis better to remain quiet and be thought
a fool . . . . "
