I recently dove off the coast in Ventura Coutny. My friends and I went in the water and were almost immediately greeted by a very friendly and tame Harbor seal. This little encounter made what would have been an ordinary dive an extraordinary dive. This seal was with us the entire 45 minutes we dove. I once put my hand out and he/she took her nose and rubbed my hand then she( I prefer to call it a her),rubbed my head with her nose. When we were at the end of the dive, just outside of the surf zone I surfaced, my buddy surfaced, and low and behold our new friend surfaced. We started laughing, it saddened us to have to leave her there, it was a real treat. I will never forget that dive. I am sure lots of you have similar stories, please share them with us.
Thank you,
Frank
