CMAS (european training agency) course lasts at
least 6 months and is much, much more unpleasant
and throughout than anything here. Includes for
example breathing from tank with disasembled
regulator (you open/close a valve and breathe like
from freeflow reg). Includes buddy breathing from
one regulator. Includes making certain distance
under water, under certain time. They also don't
have training for non-deco diving. It's either
deco, either none. And that's just BASIC
recreational course. And they sure don't make big
bucks as PADI does.
