All this talk of DIR is making me a little DIR Crazy, isn't it all about being self sufficient, and having fun. I have never gone into the water unprepared to take care of myself, now with that said, I get the most enjoyment from diving when I share the dive with another. I also enjoy a solo dive every now and then, when I do dive solo it is done with the same care and planning as when I with a buddy. I haven't been around as long as AADiver, but I plan to, I stopped logging in every dive at around number 800, and that was about 20 years ago, I'm over 2000 plus now, most of which were saltwater dives, I spend most of my dive time off our Washington State Coast, as soon as the weathe breaks I will be diving out of Neah Bay, where the Makhaw Indeans hunt Gray Whales, diving on the wreck Andalusia. AA I would dive with you anytime, I think even some of our gear might match.

Mike
