Most younger divers tell me that they think it is BS. Most oldsters say they feel better after the dive. If it is true, then I suppose that shallow dives should not be tiring. But as you say the coldness is a big part of the fatigue. Many nights driving home after 4 dives I have felt very fatigued even though the dives were shallow. I wish I knew. But then again maybe ingorance is bliss. The bliss that I feel after nitrox may be from my expectations and hope that I got my money's worth!
