One thing that will fatigue a diver is fussing with their convoluted equipment configuration. Their often tired before they get into the water and some of that might even be mental fatigue.

I have a student that does this each time he dives with me. He brings more gear than he needs to be diving with and it never has worked upon arrival. Always something either needs to be readjusted or repaired. The funny thing is that I do 10 times more diving than him and my gear never gives me trouble. I put it on and dive. Get out of the water and take it off. Drive it home, wash it out and hang it up. Its that simple.
Another thing that is important is physical condition. What type of shape are you in Eins?
