I suppose it's unfair to pre-judge the DIR rec doc, but I'll bet you the proverbial dollars to donuts that it will mandate diving exclusively with a buddy who is similarly equiped both gear-wise, attitude-wise, and "mission"-wise. Nothing ambiguous about that.
