Your experience with Halcyon is really aggravating. I too have had back order problems, though not like yours. The problem seems to come not from indifference to customers, IMO, but the growing pains of trying to create quality, reletively low price point, gear on thin volume. Despite the fact that they are a division of Brownies Third Lung, much of the gear they sell is batch manufactured by subcontractors. Their inventory can get lumpy resulting in periods when they're just plain out of stock. My suggestion is you e-mail Jarrod Jablonski at JJ@gue.com and let him know what's going on. You may not get your gear any sooner but, at the very least, you'll get a rational explanation why.

As for ornery DIR types, it's true the discussions can get out of hand. Rest assured not all of us are ornery types. In fact, some of us can even type and spell (sorry). The worst of it seems to aggregate around old aruguments by long time combatants not interested or acute enough to move on. Ignore them.
