I don't have Jim or Ken's experience, but disclaimers aside here's my experience. I tried all the Poseidon regs and decided on the Cyklon. It is a downstream reg that does not have the stuttering at shallow depths such as can happen with the Odin. I like the side exhaust as it minimizes bubble interference. I also like that this reg has no "up" position. I don't think that it would be possible for me to over breath this reg - something that had happened with my first, cheaper regs.
With all the Poseidons, you want to make sure that a competent tech is available for maintenance. You also should know that the second stage really can't be disassembled underwater to clear out the diaphram.
