My favorite boats are the Great Escape (http://DiveBoat.com) out of San Pedro and the Peace (http://PeaceBoat.com) out of Ventura.
For Catalina, San Clemente, or Santa Barbara Islands ... the Great Escape is the best choice.
For Anacappa, Santa Cruz, Santa Rosa, and San Miguel islands the Peace is the best chice.
For San Nick either boat is good choice.
p.s. I am a bit biased, since both boats advertise on my web site (this one), however they are the two boats I prfer to dive on, and have been since before this web site existed.
