Last Sunday, I went out to spearfish the kelp beds in Leucadia. I usually go out with a surfboard and clip my speargun and gamebag to the leash. The surf looked pretty badmaybe 6-8 ft. breakers, but i decided to go for it anyway. I made it to where i was almost past the surfline, when a set rolls in, snaps the leash to my surfboard, and pins me under for 20-30 seconds. It didn't help that i was wearing 15lbs. of weight, which i ended up ditching. After that ordeal, i was very tired, and shouldn't have been. A lot of it was due to the fact that i smoke. My question is this: Has anyone quit smoking because they took up diving? If so, how did you quit?
