I think it is because us Adult Divers (Frank will get made at me if I say "old") feel better when we use it. Young divers seem to not notice it and think it is all in our heads. But I think that all SENIOR DIVERS are happier and more spry post-dive when on this happy gas. Since you have to be an old geezer to notice and enjoy its benefits, it gets called after us Elder Aqualungers.
That is my opinion.
