where guiser itself (one who guises) is pronounced /gai zer/
so a geezer is just a guy. wotta coincidence...


Anyway, that indicates that geezer applies for younger lads as well. To be more specific (I love being specific), I'd prefer a term around 'geriatric' if we mean old because that excludes young. Sorry, Gerry.
