Spearfished Leucadia last Sunday, despite the fact that our waters have been polluted with the seasonal "California Algae", ie. rain washed gutter s#%$t. Anyways, swam about 1/4-1/2 mile out to the kelp beds, while en route, I noticed I couldn't see 5 feet in front of my face. Oh yay. Didn't want to simply quit that soon due to crappy visibility, so I kept on. Arrived at the kelp beds, but the viz was the same there. As a matter of fact, the only life I saw was a school of about 5 4-inch surfperch. Oh well, fridays a'comin, and shes a'comin on fast. I'll let the ultimate DIR divers know.
