I go in thicker kelp than almost anyone you'll ever meet. A habit I picked up up north. My console never catches at all on kelp (occasionally on rock).

They do condemn it and you shouldn't argue in favor of DIR unless you clearly know what it claims and what it will cost you. It never is clear, is it!

I am not baiting Michael on computers. I think they are the best thing for my diving since scuba. Many other posters agreed.
