Went diving today here in good ol' Michigan. Air temp was 38 degrees and water temp...same as above. After buddy got under the ice we paired up to tease the ice fishermen a little. We went and tugged on some lures and marveled and the crazy fihermen that were in the worst spots to fish. Oh well. We headed back towards the hole and decided to walk back. Filled our dry suits a little and flipped ourselves upside down and proceeded to walk back.

After the surface interval we jumped back in with the intention of repaying the fishermen we teased earlier, but we saw an object in the distance. Quick note vis under ice often exceeds 100 feet! Found out it was a snowmobile. Must not have drove fast enough across the lake to make it. Back to the fisherman hole. Since fish are dormant in cold water we caught a largemouth bass close to 3 and a half feet long and then proceeded to shove it through the anglers hole. Dive tenders up top noted his pleased screams. It was a good day for diving.

Safe diving
Bill
