#1 Any month is good but the mid months maybe better as the weather is a little better. Also June is a good month as the L.A. area is have a big scuba show. Scuba 2001. Check out California Diving News for more details.
#2 Liva aboards---2-day trips on the Peace, Ventura or Truth Aquatics boats, Santa Barbara. Thats about 75-125 miles nothe of L.A. depending on where you stay.
Encore and Great Escape out of 22nd. St. landing out of San Pedro area.
