The DIR thing seems to have been beaten to death recently. Frank, Seahunt, Dimitrios and others pretty well proved their points about steel&wet, computers, consoles, "holistic system", over-reliance on buddys and a lot of other DIR dogma. What's left? Pass the primary, streamlining, dive planning and quality gear, pretty basic stuff that predates DIR. Until the "Bible according to JJ" gets published, I think I'll just keep diving my way. Perhaps the book will clear the ambiguity.
Had some nice blue water diving this AM, collecting jellies for AOP. Come see the exhibit before it leaves town.
