Hi Jim
The Lost Concept. Your right. All the flame wars
have taken the spot light from the real meaning of DIR--SAFER DIVING......
I don't agree with all the stuff but if I get something that I can use in my diving that makes me a SAFER DIVER then all the nit picking over this and that means nothing.
I use a puter and have for many years and I'm not going to change but I now at least look at the table and I carry a set with me on the dives. Case the puer takes a dump.
I have a thing on my pressure gage with a compass and depth gage and the puter. I won't change that because I don't like stuff on my arms, but I now place this system in a different place because of DIR. So in some ways DIR has made a differance to me and made me think more about being a SAFER DIVER.
Just my .02
