Thank you, Wayne. I ask these questions as they relate to the requirements of DIR. You say:

But DIR states clearly that computers are an "unnesessary useless expense" and that all divers should possess the skills to compute NDL's "on the fly" regardless of multi-levels or repetetives. Now do you see why my questions are so important if DIR procedures become the law of the diving land?
