Time to clean your toxic waste out of your garage. The Los Angeles County Sanitation District is organizing a waste clean up and all members of LA County are elegible to utilize this service.

The "Roundup" will be Saturday, January 27, 2001 from 9 am to 3 pm in Hermosa Beach at Clark Stadium. From PCH, turn onto Pier Avenue and head toward the ocean. At the first stop sign is Ardmore Ave. Go a very short distance to the second stop sign, Valley Drive, and turn south (left). Entrance to Clark Stadium is between 8th Street and 11th Street.

Limit is 15 gallons or 125 pounds per vehicle, bring items in sturdy boxes, preferably original container and be prepared to leave your containers. Do not mix items, use separate containers.

YOU CAN BRING: motor oil & filters, brake fluid, paint, thinner, turpentine, cleaners with acid or lye, pesticides, herbicides, household batteries or car batteries, pool chemicals.

YOU CANNOT BRING: explosives, ammunition, radioactive materials, business waste, trash, or tires.
