Can anyone reccomend any decent shore dive accessible sitesfor freediving in san diego county that don't tend to have bad surf? I went to Leucadia today and tried to swim past the surfline to the kelpbeds to spearfish, but I decided to call it quits as the surf was somewhat heavy. I guess the saying "when in doubt, get out" is true. Drove to encinitas, but it looked the same. It's a shame because there is so much kelp out there. Looks like its back to tying the equipment to the ol' longboard and dragging it out there.
