I have been using necklace's for 7 years now and my current necklace is nylon shock cord and the same one for the last 1 1/2 years. It hasn't rotted yet.

Tie wraps are rarely used in my style of diving due to problems such as I mentioned earlier. Instead we use guide line to tie objects up. This allows for plyability and no sharp edges. One of the only places you will find a tie wrap on a properly configured rig is the mouth peice.

Divers, on the necklace we use two simple knotts with sm. shockcord. But if chris decides to use tie wraps, good for him. Beware of who's footsteps you follow.
