What, in your opinion, is a hydro other than a wall stress test?
Your statement that wall stress must "also" be determined indicates that there is an additional (hence also) wall stress test. That is not the case. There is only one test required--a wall stress test at the proper hydro test pressure (which is 5/3 of the + rated service pressure).
Why make things so complicated? That is the main reason why there is so much confusion and wrong information. KISS.
