'Crash' is the recognized trademark and nickname
for one of the GE's DM following a horrible
accident whereas a giant boulder sneeked up on
him and almost bashed in his brains in at -90' while
trying to find the wreck wrapped anchor in O vis
10 minutes to sundown.
As a tribute to that fateful day, there now
hangs in the salon of the GE the reverently
celebrated 'Crash Helmet' - courtesy of the local
GUE contigency at that time. The helmet is now home
to "Sharky" and "El Eel", two of the GE's 4 Dakin
produced mascots.
The 'Crash Helmet' is only brought out during special
events a few time a year as a token of rememberence
from what was learned that rough day on the Olympic...
Never, EVER let go of the line.
