On days of little or no surf, this is a very nice site. The surf zone is littered with diver-grabbing rocks. Once past the surf zone, large boulders are everywhere. Most are within 10-20 feet of each other. The diving is shallow. A long swim out into boat traffic will still find you in less than 50 feet of water. You can find lobsters, eels and the occasional sea lion there. Be sure to surface behind the surf zone, even on calm days. One of my luckier moments occured there when I surfaced to find several surfers between me and the beach. Using a lot of patience, I timed my exit perfectly and didn't even fall in the shallow rocks. There are restrooms and an outdoor shower at the top of the wooden stairs. After this particular dive, a rattlesnake crossed the stairs about twenty feet in front of me. I really should have bought a Lotto ticket that day!
