i got whumped (just barely) chasing bugs at Laguna once..looked up and DAMN! where did that big rock come from!
One place i have thought about wearing knee-pads, elbow pads and a helmet, is when shooting in & out of caves, over rocks and between sea stacks in frisky surf with a sit-on-top kayak.
BTW, where do you do most of your climbing?
