9.63 plus 1 = 10.63 ata (atmospheres absolute)


PO2 of 1.6

.15 or 15% is the fraction of oxygen

FO2= .15

The PO2 has other constraints
One of them is time
Commonly excepted limits form NOAA are:

PO2 1.6 45 minutes
1.5 120
1.4 150
1.3 180
1.2 210
1.1 240
and so on !

As you can see there are some little things that a diver needs to know in order to breathe Nitrox. That is why the class in so important.
