I agree that trim influences water resistance and therefore streamlining. But so do a lot of other factors.

I was talking about the effect of "breaking the slipstream".

Now that we agree on less drag due to stretched arms, how does that relate to another DIR claim, that the light canister is placed under the shoulder's slip stream? With arms stretched forward, I don't see shoulders providing a slipstream 'underneath' them anymore.

As a matter of fact, I could not find a reference to your arm position in any DIR description I've come across. That's why I asked in the first place.
