your response shows little understanding of statistics. 14 of 78 (or 18%) does not mean anything. It can be very high or very low. Until we know how many dives are made in SoCal and how that number relates to the dives made in total (or the dives in the DAN universe), we can not evaluate that number.
I'm not saying that 14 casualties mean nothing. I'm saying that your statement is biased and ignorant.
