To me, that is prohibitive pricing. I would not go. Actually, I haven't gone with the PC since they raised their price to $90 (from $72 or $75 (?)).
That said, the PC has a differenct concept than most other Cal dive boats. It has no pax bunks. But it has huge space everywhere--except in the diver area!!! OK, each diver has a space width of two tanks, but right opposite of you sits another diver, and with people constantly walking through, it is very confined.
Maybe you could settle for a beach dive at Crescent Bay and swim out to Seal Rock--sea lions guaranteed! Then, after the dive, treat your girlfriend to a really nice dinner somewhere. Having conquered Seal Rock is much more rewarding than having been shipped to Sta. Barbara after paying for it dearly.
