Glad you made it out OK. But next time that happens don't waste time screwing with the sensitivity switch. Just grab the hose in your hand and kink it tight. That will cut the flow down to a trickle. Then you can switch to your backup and head for the surface without losing too much gas.
Also, Poseidon 2nds are not recommended. You may want to upgrade to something a little better designed.
