When I go spear fishing on a dive charter. I usually get in the water first, and swim far away from the rest of the divers on the
boat.
Is this safer for me? Perhaps not
Is it safer for the rest of the divers to be far out of range of a loaded and deadly
weapon. Definitely yes!
Thus when spear fishing alone and away from other divers I have enhanced the collective safety of all.
