I know of no published guide, but if you ask the
Edison people real nice like, they will probably
tell you where all the really cool stuff is from
decades of system construction.

In fact, if you play your cards right and get
hooked up with a local TV station that prides
itself on delivering local history to their
viewers (great when FCC licenses are up for
renewal), perhaps you can get them to coordinate
you dives as long as they get a story out of it.
Want added value to get your "access", tell them
you will videotape what you find. There are old
wagons, locomotives, rail tracks, boilers, etc
strewn all over the bottom of those "Edison" managed
forebays.

There is a book out that t5ells the story of the Edison
Project, titled just that, "The Edison Project".

Stations that come to mind that would surely want
to air such video and associated story are KMPH
and KSEE out of Fresno.
