Oceanside Dive spots

I will be driving down to Oceanside to do some shore diving Friday, Saturday & Sunday. It’s supposed to be a working dive but if conditions are bad I was hoping to do some fun dives. Can anyone down in that area recommend some good recreational sites that might be more protected? Also info on other things to do incase things are just too bad. Already paid for the room so I’ll be coming either way.
