JRM,I really think the best instructors come out of the NAUI system(right now). I think this is so because in a NAUI ITC we requires that the Instructor candidates know how to teach. No CD's, no audio tapes, no video tapes, no on-line certs. A NAUI instructor candidate has to stand up in a classroom and teach. They have to know the subject. An God help them if they don't.
It's the same in the pool and the OW. They had better know their stuff or they don't pass.
A NAUI ITC is not a class where you pay your money and get a card! I wish it was so with many of the other agencies.
By the way I don't think PADI is evil (just miss-managed) and I like Microsoft(microsoft is ran by computer people not by bean counters like PADI).
