Was Mia following proper protocol when she blew her deco obligation, surfaced to get the needed air supply to finish her deco obligation, and then return to depth to finish her deco obligation? Of course, proper protocol would to not blow off any deco obligations, but a low air situation like this changes some of the rules.

I was taught that in situations like this (where you have to blow off deco obligations) you shouldn't return to depth, but instead be placed on 100% O2 and monitor for DCS signs/symptoms.

I'm not an expert on the subject so if there is someone that can address this issue, I think it could be a life saver!
