IMHO, that situation doesn't sound like taking the pissing contest into the water so much as it sounds like a simple common-sense refusal to dive with people who would get one killed (although not having been there, maybe i shouldn't second guess). I have had a similar problem /w/ some buddies now and then. I don't yell and scream at them or slap 'em /w/ the proverbial glove, i just don't go diving /w/ them again. I may politely offer some advice (like NEXT TIME WATCH YOUR *&@%#$% GAUGES YOU @#$%@!%:) but thats about it. We can choose our friends, we can choose who we dive with. Nothin' nasty about it, just common sense.
