Go back and re-read the original post. He gave the situation and how the statement was used as an example to incorrect logic to show an equally flawed piece of logic being used in promotion of nitrox use.

He was responding to the statement "Nitrox prevents the bends".

I thought it made sense in context, but out of that context it sounds pretty silly.
