When I got my drysuit late last year I noticed similar strange things (like being able to dive with my car keys in the thermal suit :) )

I also found that ankle weights help in terms of keeping your feet "down" so that the air bubble that you ride in doesn't tend to migrate there as much. Tighter ankle weights can also cut down on the air gap at your ankles, but can lead to chafing inside the suit.

I also found that talcum powder (but just a little bit) helps in getting the seals on and off. But be sure to "relube" the seals afterwaters with the Sea Drops.

Happy Diving!
