I apprieciate the comment. I have no doubt that what you said is true in most cases. In my case though, the rep was a good friend who sold me the suit at less than cost. (A custom job which was cancelled too late that I got at cost minus the original deposit.) Another person who had done repairs on these suits for years and replaced a torn seal for free told me the same thing. Also, OS does not sell the silicone that they recommend. BTW, it is cheap and easy to get. Aside from replacing one torn seal, the seals on my suit are over a year old and look and feel like new. I can't tell the difference between the replaced wrist seal and the others. I agree that pure talc is the way to go with other suits. What I'm doing seems to work. My suit dons/doffs easily and has no leaks, so I'm going to stick with what I'm doing.
