Only concerned about cost if I have to fire sale all my existing gear and pop for new DIR gear. Agreed that from the get-go it's dollar for dollar about the same.
EDGE was in 1986, Skinny Dipper was won on a Chamber Day raffle, Suunto was for longer battery life, and NiTek an exchange for a Bridge and needed for u/w gas switching. Actually, I've got 5: a Scubapro "Bend-O-Matic", accurate for only one dive, I used from the late 60's to the late 70's, and actually did repet dives with it!
Which brings up another question: how do you calculate the change in NDL's after switching from 21% to 40% at depth as I do without a computer?
