I make thr trek from WLA regularly. It's about a
50 to 75 minute drive to SCUBA Toys depending on
traffic using the 405/10 Fwys as a starting
reference.

The overall presentation lasts as long as anyone wants
information or needs their questions asked. JJ is
very patient and very thourough and can get down
the even the smallest details if possible. In
the past it's varied from between 1 to 2 hours for
the initial presentation and an additional couple
of hours for the in water demos, fielding additional
questions, one on one discussions, etc. It pretty
much a free form event which is why it's possible
to get so much information. I hope that JJ is able
to give his Britannic Expedition presentation as
well as the DIR one.

The pool is heated/warm, the last time I was in it
the temp was 74 degrees. There's only enough room
for about 6 in at a time without getting too crowded,
which shouldn't be a problem as we have about 6 sets
of gear for people to demo. They are all pretty much
configured for single tank demos.

Item's to bring should include your wetsuit. I will
have a 2mm shorty. Since it's fresh water and you
probably won't want heavy insulation, I wouldn't
look at this as a chance to resolve any bouyancy
issues.

Bring your reg(s), mask, fins, booties (for foot pocket
protection). You can bring gloves if you are interested
in manipulating clips and such, otherwise come bare
handed. You shouldn't need a hood. You might want to
bring your own tank, or perhaps Jim, Walker, or myself
can arrange for one to use. I will probably bring a
steel 95 and a twin set of Alum 80's.

Non divers are welcome, although they probably will
not get much from the discussions. There are a couple
of shopping areas around the shop that one could
spend a couple of hours at.
