Great reading. I really enjoy hearing about animal encounters. That fellow was probably older that you! Wonder how he's describing the encounter? (sorta looked like a sponge, sure didn't taste like one!) Anything that old would naturally be thoughtful enough to not just take a bite out of something, but you knew that.
