In response to Chris' inaapropriate comments respecting 2 individuals how are donating their time to fly out and respond to the open questions about DIR I thought I would post all the items that are recommended that have NOTHING to do with Halcyon:
1) DUI TLS 350
2) SCUBAPRO Jet fins
3) Scubapro MK 20/G250
4) Apex US 4
5) Almost all bladders and/or BP's ( except Bungee wings)
6) DUI C-4 thermo underwear
7) Uwatec BT
8) Any closed circuit lift bags
9) DUI Hood
10) Wetnotes
11) Highland Millworks bands
12) PST 104's
13) Scubapro manifolds
14) Spring straps
15) using the right gas for the dive
Just to bame a few off the top of my head..
Furthermore, DIR is more about NOT buying things than actually buying things.
ie:
No Bungee wings;
No Steel stage bottles;
No reels with handles that will jam;
No ankle weights
No posiedon regs
No steel tanks with wetsuits
No computers
No wrist slates
No fins with clips that can break
No open ended lift bags
No jacket style bs'c
No suicide clips
No retractable gadgets
No deep air diving
No solo diving
DIR has very little to do with selling gear as much as it is about taking a fresh look at diving practices and perhaps doing it safer...
